Going as planned
Hello everyone. Today is Monday Dec 4th and I just got done seeing the doctor. He explained that my treatment is going as planned and that things look good so far. My tumor is now 6cm in size, shrinking only 1cm since my 2nd treatment. In my mind, this was not the best news, but he went on to explain that the tumor can stay the same size for the rest of my life and what mattered is that the cancer cells are dying. There is no way to tell for sure that they are all dead and that is why I will have to go the extra step and have radiation treatment when I am done with chemo. After all treatments are done, the only way of knowing that everything has worked is to be in remission. So I guess this is where I again ask for everyone to pray for me. I am waiting at this moment for treatment #9 and looking foward to March when I can say "I AM IN REMISSION." Thank you for continuing to keep me and my family in your prayers. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

Hi Michelle~
Glad to see that you're still making progress. I'm really thankful that, overall, the news was good! I can understand how you'd be ready for it all to be over though.
You're still in our thoughts over here! I wish we were coming to Cleveland for Xmas so I could visit. We're keeping to ourselves here though- Got our Xmas tree last week. This is our first Xmas on Lana'i. It'll definitely be weird spending it on the beach! It's weird just to be hanging up Xmas lights outside and it's warm out! Sometimes the rain is really misty and falls like snow, but it's still not the same. Oh well, I can't complain but would like to remind you NOT to take that lovely snow for granted!
As they say here on the islands: Mele Kalikimaka me ka Hau'oli Makahiki Hou!
(Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!)
Love,
Heathre
